| Description: | POSITION PURPOSE: To provide engaging experiences while serving as host or facilitator of Conner Prairie’s youth and family programs and experience areas
NATURE AND SCOPE: The Early Childhood & Family Experiences Host-Facilitator provides youth and family audiences with unique engaging experiences. Person will serve as host and/or facilitator in Conner Prairie’s Discovery Station and Craft Corner. Facilitator will also take part in implementation of Museum Center activities and programs, and assist Education staff in outreach, Flex, or other youth activities. This is a year-round, part-time position. Some weekends required.

| Duties: | PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Serve as host in Discovery Station
•Facilitate craft experiences in Craft Corner
•Take part in implementation of Museum Center activities and programs
•Assist Education staff in outreach, Flex, or other youth activities
•Adheres and supports Conner Prairie’s Mission, Values Statements and Code of Conduct
•Other duties as assigned; not limited to those within the scope of this position

| Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Art, History, Museum Studies, Early Childhood Education or a related area preferred, or similar relevant experience
•Outgoing, cheerful and engaging personality
•Enjoy working with youth and families
•Ability to work in a team structure
•Show flexibility and creativity in support of museum activities
•Ability to synthesize responsibilities with an awareness for their impact on the museum as a whole
