| Description: | Position Purpose: To provide engaging experiences while serving as a non-costumed facilitator in one of Conner Prairie’s experience areas.
Nature and Scope: The Non-Costumed Guest Engagement Facilitator (3rd Person) provides Conner Prairie audiences with unique and engaging experiences in the Historic Areas and Welcome Center and school programs. Third Person Guest Engagement Facilitators provide historical, cultural and educational experiences to our guests. They will engage guests through hands-on activities, crafts, games, and other activities as specified by area. This is a part-time position. Some weekends and holidays are required.

| Duties: | Principal Responsibilities:
•Facilitate hands-on experiences in historic area
•Interact with the public using historically and culturally accurate and engaging techniques
•Communicate to the public about the people, culture and animals of the past
•Provide instruction and assistance for simple craft projects
•Assist Education staff in outreach, school programs, or other youth activities
•Work well with adult and youth volunteers
•Adhere to and support Conner Prairie’s Mission, Values Statements and Code of Conduct
•Other duties as assigned; but not limited to those within the scope of the position

| Qualifications: | Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Bachelor’s Degree in History, Museum Studies, Education, Science, Theater or a related area preferred, or similar relevant experience
•Outgoing, cheerful and engaging personality
•Enjoy working with youth, families and adults
•Ability to work in a team structure
•Show flexibility and creativity in support of park activities
•Ability to synthesize responsibilities with awareness for their impact on the park as a whole
•Group-management skills
