| Description: | POSITION PURPOSE: To provide engaging experiences while serving as host or facilitator of Conner Prairie’s youth and family programs and experience areas.
NATURE AND SCOPE: The Science Experiences Host-Facilitator provides youth and family audiences with unique engaging experiences. Person will serve as host and/or facilitator in Conner Prairie’s Science Lab. Facilitator will also take part in implementation of Welcome Center activities and programs, and assist Education staff in outreach, Flex, or other youth activities. This is a seasonal, part-time position. Some weekends required.

| Duties: | PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Serve as host in Science Lab
•Facilitate science and technology experiences
•Observe guest experiences and report findings to Experience Developer so experiences can be improved
•Take part in implementation of Welcome Center activities and programs
•Assist Education staff in outreach, Flex, or other youth activities
•Adheres and supports Conner Prairie’s Mission, Values Statements and Code of Conduct
•Other duties as assigned; not limited to those within the scope of this position

| Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Science Education or a related area preferred, or similar relevant experience
•Curiosity and enthusiasm for science and technology
•Outgoing, cheerful and engaging personality
•Enjoy working with youth and families
•Willing and able to learn new background science information quickly
•Ability to work in a team structure
•Show flexibility and creativity in support of museum activities
•Ability to synthesize responsibilities with an awareness for their impact on the museum as a whole
